Paul Newhouse, MPH

Assistant Vice President of Client Services at Celltex Therapeutics

Paul Newhouse leads Celltex’s Client Services department, responsible for educating interested candidates about stem cell banking and therapy, facilitating medical reviews of their individual cases, and assisting new clients throughout the entire stem cell banking and therapy process. 

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Exercise and Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska, and a Master of Public Health in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston.

Join Houston Historian & TV's Mister McKinney as he talks about his series, Mister McKinney's Historic Houston, which travels to HISD and La Porte ISD elementary, middle and high schools, educating and informing Houston's future about its past, as well as real estate professionals.

Mister McKinney is an active member in the historical community, he lectures at Rice University, gives weekly tours onboard Houston's only mobile history classroom, the Houston History Bus, and serves on the boards and commissions of numerous non-profit museums, libraries, educational organizations, including the Harris County Historical Commission, The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park, the LaPorte Bay Area Historical Society, president of the Bellaire Historical Society and the Houston Historical Foundation.

Since 2008 Mister McKinney has served as the resident historian for the Emmy Award-winning KHOU Channel 11's Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan, appearing every two weeks with a segment on Houston History, and since August of 2016, Mister McKinney, chaired the City of Houston's Birthday Party at Sam Houston Park with Mayor Sylvester Turner and honorary chair Council Member Robert Gallegos, an event he has carried on every year since even virtually during COVID. This year on August 30th Houston celebrated 185 years strong!

McKinney will present his take on important historical facts every Houstonian should know, including his favorite "Top 10 Things about Historic Houston Every Houstonian Should Know" and his "Gone From Houston" series that features landmark buildings, places, and experiences gone from the Houston landscape. You can also catch Mister McKinney's weekly radio show on 90.1 FM KPFT called "The Houston Hour with Mister McKinney and Catherine Ansopn" (Ms. Anspon is PaperCity Magazine's editor) at 12pm every Tuesday!

Tim Stroud Bio: 

Tim Stroud is a former combat medic in the United States Army.  He served his country for five years of active service with deployments to Kosovo, Kuwait, and Iraq (OIF).  During these years, Tim learned volumes about team building, leadership, and camaraderie. After his honorable discharge from the military, he decided to start several businesses in Central Texas and support veterans as they transitioned back to civilian life.  He has raised millions of dollars in support of over 1,000 Veteran Service Organizations and was the pioneer who spearheaded TexVet.Org to coordinate service to Veterans, Family Members, and Care Providers. He is the Co-Founder of the Greater Houston Veterans Rotary Club and was the Inaugural President.  He has two daughters, aptly nicknamed The Hurricane and The Tornado, that keep him grounded.

Friday Meeting Location Change: American Legion Hall

Lisa Pauls is the District 5890 Rotary Foundation Committee Chair for 2019-2022. She’s been a member of the Brazosport Rotary Club for almost 20 years and served as club president in 2013-14. For the last 10 years, Lisa has been involved in District Grants. Today she’ll tell us a little about The Rotary Foundation and how it can help us increase the impact we make here at home and around the world.

Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and began her career as a teacher. She also served several nonprofit organizations in Michigan and Texas before changing careers in 2008 and entering financial services. Lisa loves to help others plan for their futures and their legacies through her day job as a Certified Financial Planner, working with Merrill Lynch in Lake Jackson. She and Jeff have been married for 43 years and have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren. They love to travel, especially to Rotary Conventions.

Tiffany's Biography

I am a woman who loves Jesus deeply. I am a Prayer Warrior and try to be attentive to the Holy Spirit's leading in all situations. I am a submissive wife who respects her husband Dante and tries to model a woman's faithful love towards her spouse. My family is my first ministry, and I love being a mother. I love to preach, pray and read my Bible. I enjoy learning new skills, and currently, I am learning to sow and DIY crafts with the Cricut. I am a second-generation Salvationist and come from a family of Pastors.  I was introduced to the Salvation Army through the Dallas Oak Cliff Corps music ministry when I was five years old. The music and camp ministry kept me involved in the Salvation Army as a teen and young adult. I received my call to officership in 2014 and attended the school for officer training in Atlanta, Georgia as a member of the Messengers of Light Session.

Dante's Biography

As a disciple of Jesus Christ, I am called to love and tell others about the good news. I love people before meeting them because Christ is in me, and he captains my life. I aim to live my life by the greatest commandment, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. And, Love your neighbor as yourself." The Houston area is home for me! I was introduced to the Salvation Army on September 11, 2001. The officers at Houston Temple, Captains Spalding, decided to go forward with a family-night program on that tragic day. I discovered God's love on that day and have been a member of the Salvation Army for almost twenty years (13 years in Houston).   Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to wait ten years before attending the College For Officer Training in Atlanta, GA.

Tiffany and I were commissioned June 5, 2016, to San Antonio, TX. We served the San Antonio Mission Corps for five years. During that time, Tiffany and I became parents to three kids, Jubilee (4), Jedidiah (1) & one in Heaven. We are excited to serve the Pasadena community and cannot wait to see how the Lord uses us to further the Army's mission in Harris County and, more importantly, to promote the Kingdom of God.
